So if you’ve been following my work for a while, you may remember the gramophone piece I did at the Henhouse Rehearsal Studios (http://www.thehenhouse.com.au) a while back. Anyway, a few months ago I got in touch with Rob, the gentleman who owns and operates this excellent establishment. Following the expansion of the studios into a second warehouse, we embarked on a project that will eventually see each rehearsal room with its own mural.
We’re three deep so far, so I thought I’d share the progress. Also this month is a piece I did at a gym in East Perth. While landscapes are not my usual kinda thing, this one was heaps of fun due to the technical challenge it presented. And in closing, just a little drawing I did last week, hannya mask/snake sleeve design.
I haven’t posted anything here for a while. Not because I haven’t been working. I’ve just gotten really lazy with updating my site ever since I jumped on the Instagram bandwagon. Mostly I’ve been too lazy to hunt down some proper internet and upload some photos to the blog. It doesn’t help that the places I’ve been living the last few months haven’t had internet access. I heard they got themselves some internet down Californi-way, so I might head there.
Anyway, here’s a selection of newpics from my IG feed, complete with tilt-shift and retro filters. Follow me @blackgreyviolet.com
Couple of plugs today too. Following the wildly successful Day of the Deli concert/exhibition held last weekend, we’re hosting another exhibition-focused event this Saturday at the Woolwich Deli. Check out the facebook event at http://www.facebook.com/events/340232852708218/. Also, check out this guy- a fellow West Leederville aerosol artist who’s putting up some swell pieces http://dsmb.tumblr.com/
